DistanceMap is a fast, easy to use range finder app for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch!
Ever ask "How far away is that"? Well, with DistanceMap, you can find the exact distance to anything on the map, instantly! Great for Golf, Hunting, Running, Boating, or any time you need to know how far away something is!
With the "Quick Distance" feature, simply move the cross-hair to ANY location on the map and get the distance form where you are standing instantly. No need to add a marker to the map! Great for golf to quickly check the distance to clear that water!
Or add a marker to the map and save that location for later! Simply move the map to your target and tap the toolbar button to add a marker. Thats it! Distance will be calculated from where you are standing and update as you move! You can then save that location for later use!
Three types of measurement on the same screen!
**Get the distance from your current location to any marker added.
**Measure distance between any 2 markers by simply tapping the line between them!
**Total Distance displays the total distance of all markers added to the map.
(Great for measuring around a perimeter or a jogging route)
Distances can be measured in feet, yards, miles, meters, kilometers, or nautical miles
Add multiple pins at once
Save locations to use later
Add notes to any location
Search function that allows you to search by Address, City, Zip, Places, or Latitude and Longitude

Really like this app. But why did you make an only ios5 upgrade? It make other app update very boring (one by one) when you dont have yet ios5 installed. I would contact you in other way but nothing is propose.

Ability to see track, move pins around and see total distance aids in fuel loading. Thank you!
Use it map golf courses for fun - works great - for me it replaces google earth not on the iPad.
This app does pretty much want I want for planning bicycle rides. I do wish there was a little extra space around the pin drop icon - It could be just me, but I frequently hit the book marked location icon by accident; surely the pin drop has to be most used and deserves a bit more real estate. Also Id like to be able to save routes, with their total mileages. Actually it would be great to show the pin to pin distances right on the route. So, thanks for a useful app; just do what I ask and it will be perfect!
Great for making your own running routes. Drop pins and it calculates the exact distance. You can set it to add up pin to pin, total distance, etc
Ive tried them ALL. Ill save you the time and expense. This is by Far the best distance map app in the App Store.. Love it! Thanx to the developer(s).
Some bad moments
There are free alternatives that does exactly the same. I was hoping in at least map routed distances, instead you have to pin all your points.
If you make a mistake you have to delete all the course and start again. Not usable.
The trashcan in my bottom right corner keeps removing all my pins and not just the last one :( please fix
I had been using this app with very little problem until I upgraded to IOS6. Suddenly, with your latest app upgrade to suit the new IOS, I cant get it to work: the map doesnt load to any usable level
of detail (except continental), and it crashes each time I attempt to zoom in further. Please fix this.
Ive been looking at the same thing for a year and a half. U need to update the map
Unfortunately after updating it to the current version it no longer zooms in anywhere near as close as it used to. Which is critical for what I was using it for. I used to be able to measure distance between telephone poles- you could see the shadow of the pole and mark the exact spot. Now when you try zooming in all the way you get black squares with no picture. If you zoom out slightly to regain the satellite picture there is not enough detail to mark anything. It is almost impossible to see the property lines, roof details, and edges of driveways that I used all the time to mark distances in the original version of this app. This app supposedly uses Google Maps satellite data but the Google Maps app allows you to zoom in far closer than this app now does. Unfortunately Google Maps does not allow you to measure distances which is why I bought this app. If the author hasnt crippled this app after I bought and paid for it, I would give it 5 stars. Unfortunately the current version is completely useless to me.
Says my location is off west coast of Africa. Does nothing. Complete waist of time.
